How to create custom template in Azure Devops ?

Hello and welcome to this blog, my name is sandeep and I work in a big tech company. Hope you all are doing great. Currently, there is a pandemic going on and most of us are worried whether we will survive this pandemic or not. But I am sure we will definitely survive since there are so many obstacles that the human race faced in the past.

Let's not think of all the negative scenarios and use this time to learn something new.

So, today we will be learning how we can create a custom templates in azure DevOps.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Project Setting
  2. Boards → Team Configuration → Template → New Template.

you can add anything in that template and then use that template to create work items, bugs,user story, and features.

Prerequisite.

  • To add, capture, edit, or delete work item templates through the web portal, you must be a member of the team under which you add them.
  • To apply a work item template, you must be a Contributor to the project and a member of the team under which the work item template is defined.
